    Product Description

The Recoil MAT-1 Multifunction Audio Test Meter is an all-in-one professional diagnostic and tuning tool built specifically for car audio and 12-volt installers. Instead of reaching for multiple meters and test devices, the MAT-1 combines critical audio measurements, electrical diagnostics, amplifier testing, crossover calibration, and system setup functions into one portable handheld tool.

Whether you're setting amplifier gains, verifying crossover points, checking speaker impedance, diagnosing voltage drop, or measuring actual amplifier output, the MAT-1 gives installers real-time information needed to build, tune, verify, and troubleshoot an audio system correctly.

    Key Features

    • Measures AC voltage from 0–150V RMS
    • Measures AC current from 0–100A RMS
    • Measures frequency from 5Hz–20kHz
    • Measures speaker impedance from 0–200Ω
    • Measures and records DC voltage up to 100V
    • Tracks minimum and maximum DC voltage to help identify electrical voltage drop
    • Calculates active power, apparent power, and power factor
    • Measures real-world amplifier dynamic power output
    • Built-in signal generator for audio system testing and calibration
    • On-screen crossover calibration for accurate HPF and LPF setup
    • Guided amplifier gain matching for multi-amplifier systems
    • Large color LCD display for easy readings and menu navigation
    • Internal rechargeable battery
    • USB Type-C charging
    • Portable handheld design built for everyday professional install-bay use

For multi-amplifier systems, the guided gain-matching function helps installers achieve consistent output between amplifiers instead of relying on gain-knob position or guesswork.

    Crossover Calibration

The MAT-1's built-in signal generation and visual crossover calibration functions provide installers with a repeatable method for setting high-pass and low-pass filters.

This is especially valuable when setting up amplified speaker systems, subwoofers, motorcycle audio systems, and DSP-equipped installations where accurate crossover points are critical to system performance and speaker protection.

    Electrical System Diagnostics

High-output audio systems are only as good as the electrical system supplying them.

The MAT-1 can monitor DC voltage and capture minimum and maximum voltage fluctuations, helping installers identify voltage drop and other electrical problems that may only occur when the system is under load.

    Measurement Capabilities

    AC Voltage: 0–150V RMS
    AC Current: 0–100A RMS
    Frequency: 5Hz–20kHz
    Speaker Impedance: 0–200Ω
DC Voltage: Up to 100V with Min/Max recording
Power Measurements: Active Power / Apparent Power / Power Factor
Additional Functions: Signal Generation / Crossover Calibration / Amplifier Gain Matching

Why the MAT-1 Belongs in the Install Bay

A standard multimeter can tell you voltage and resistance. The MAT-1 is designed around the measurements an audio installer actually needs.

From checking electrical-system stability to setting crossovers, matching amplifier gains, measuring speaker impedance, and evaluating amplifier output, the MAT-1 combines multiple installation and diagnostic functions into one portable tool.

For a professional 12-volt shop, that means less guesswork, fewer individual test tools, faster diagnostics, and more repeatable system setup.
