DESCRIPTION

• Complete radio replacement interface kit for 1998–2013 Harley-Davidson® motorcycles.

• Allows installation of an aftermarket head unit while preserving handlebar audio controls and maintaining proper electrical communication with the motorcycle’s audio system.

• Ensures correct ignition, accessory, and speaker signal routing when removing the factory radio.

FEATURES

• Retains factory handlebar (SWC) audio controls:

  • Volume Up / Down

  • Track / Seek

  • Mode / Source Select (when supported by radio brand)

• Provides correct ignition/accessory turn-on signal for aftermarket radios.

• Maintains factory speaker wiring for front fairing speakers.

• Designed specifically for Harley-Davidson’s electrical environment (higher vibration, outdoor exposure considerations).

• Compatible with major aftermarket head unit brands (Kenwood, Sony, Alpine, Pioneer, Jensen, JVC, etc.).

FUNCTIONAL APPLICATIONS

• Replace factory Harley radio with:

  • Mechless digital media receivers

  • CarPlay / Android Auto touchscreen head units

  • Marine-grade / motorcycle-specific head units

• Maintain proper system startup / shutdown and audio control behavior.

INSTALLATION NOTES

• Installs in inner fairing, replacing the stock radio.

• Handlebar controls must be programmed to match the chosen aftermarket radio brand during setup.

• For motorcycles running external amplifiers, speaker leads can be adapted to amplifier high-level inputs or signal processors if needed.

• If upgrading to a DSP / multi-amp bag system, pair with appropriate harnessing (not included).
