    Toslink Optical Output Add-On Module
    For Use with PAC AmpPRO AP4 & AP5 Interfaces

    DESCRIPTION

    • Expansion module that adds a Toslink digital optical audio output to compatible PAC AmpPRO interfaces.

    • Enables direct digital audio routing to DSP processors, digital amplifiers, and home-theater grade decoding units used in automotive sound systems.

    • Preserves the factory radio and user interface while delivering a clean, noise-free digital signal path.

    FEATURES

    • Converts the AmpPRO output to standard SPDIF Toslink digital audio format.

    • Maintains:

      • OEM Bluetooth® audio

      • Navigation prompts

      • Vehicle safety tones & alerts

    • Bypasses analog noise floor, eliminating hiss commonly introduced by speaker-level conversions.

    • Allows DSP units to operate in full digital mode, maximizing sound stage tuning and fidelity.

    • Plug-and-play connection when used with AP4 or AP5 modules — no OEM wire cutting.

    FUNCTIONAL APPLICATIONS

    • Feed DSP processors that require or benefit from digital audio input.

    • DSP / amplifier must support optical digital input.

    • Bass management, crossovers, and EQ must be configured at the DSP rather than the head unit.
