    Specifications / Features:
    • Model: AP4-CH41 (Revision R.2)

    • Compatibility: Works with vehicles equipped with factory amplified or non-amplified systems (with exceptions / compatibility caveats)

    Audio Outputs / Controls:
    • Provides 6-channel variable preamp (RCA) outputs for Front, Rear, and Sub channels
    • RCA output level: 5 V RMS (switchable to 4 V via DIP switch)
    • Channels 5 & 6 (sub outputs) are non-fading (i.e., fixed) — their level is adjusted via supplied level knob
    • Retains balance, fade, bass, mid, treble, and factory EQ control (via CAN)
    • Includes data-controlled remote turn-on output for aftermarket amplifiers (rated at 2 A; external relay recommended if more current needed)

    Feature Retention / Integration:
    • Keeps factory audio features intact: radio controls, Bluetooth, navigation prompts, warning chimes
    • Supports chime volume and minimum volume adjustment
    • Supports factory steering wheel controls (SWC) for volume, track, etc.
    • Optional TOSLINK digital output (via APA-TOS1 add-on)

    DIP Switch / Configuration Options:
    • DIP 1 – Two-channel mode (routes rear chimes through front outputs)
    • DIP 2 – Lower RCA voltage (5 V vs 4 V)
    • DIP 3 – Not used
    • DIP 4 – For non-amplified vehicles (reconfigure radio for variable output)

    Installation Notes / Requirements:
    • In vehicles with a factory amplifier, the amplifier must remain connected after installing the AP4
    • In non-amplified vehicles, installing AP4 reconfigures the factory radio to variable output; thus you must use an aftermarket amp for cabin speakers
    • Some vehicles use an Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) module that must be bypassed when using AP4 (e.g. on certain Chrysler / RAM / Jeep models)
    • The level control knob must be connected to allow adjustment of chime & minimum volume

    Physical / Miscellaneous:
    • Module output remote turn-on rated 2 A
    • Firmware / hardware revisions possible; updating firmware can resolve issues such as lockups or audio dropouts
    • Included: interface module, harness, level knob, user manual
